The Village of Bath Police Department reports the arrest of Amber R Mix, 30 and Roy C Flansburg, 54 on 08/27/2024 residing at 518 W Washington Street, Bath NY. On 08/07/2024 patrols received a 911 call in reference to a female who potentially had given birth to a baby in home and has not yet been to a doctor’s office for a follow up. Patrols were able to identify the subjects in question and interviewed them in regards to the allegations. CPS did respond to the scene and took custody of the child. Through the process of the investigation, patrols were able to determine that the mother had not seen a doctor throughout the pregnancy along with the child having illegal narcotics in its system along with going through withdrawals. On 08/27/2024, Amber Mix was then taken into custody and charged with Reckless Endangerment in the 1st Degree, a Class D Felony. Ms. Mix was then transported to the Steuben County Jail where she was released at CAP court. The same day, Roy Flansburg was also taken into custody, charged and then released on an appearance ticket for Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class A Misdemeanor. The child is currently safe and receiving care in a foster home.
