The Village of Bath Police Department reports the arrest of David R. Burgess, Mary E. Cone, and Courtney M. Brooker of Dansville NY on 05/31/2024. On 03/31/2024 David R. Burgess the operator of the vehicle, was pulled over by a Bath Police Officer for a minor traffic violation on W Morris Street along with Mary E. Cone and Courtney M. Brooker as passengers within the vehicle. During the course of the traffic stop a large amount of Methamphetamine was located along with packaging material, and a digital scale commonly used to weigh controlled substances. All three subjects were released pending investigation.
At a later date Arrest Warrants were issued for all three subjects. On 05/31/2024 all three subjects were located and taken into custody. David R. Burgess and Mary C. Cone were charged with NYS PL. 220.06- Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, a class D felony. The rear passenger Courtney M. Brooker was charged with NYS PL. 220.03- Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a class A misdemeanor. All three subjects were then transported to the Steuben County Jail where they were released at CAP court.
