On 7/19/2024 around 8:38pm, Officers with the Bath Police Department were dispatched to West Washington St. near West St. in the Village of Bath for a report of a male who was causing a disturbance and was fully naked according to multiple callers.
Upon arrival, Officers were met in the street by the male who was under the influence of dangerous drugs. The male was screaming at Officers threatening to kill them and others. The male spit in an Officers direction and attempted to engage in a physical altercation with the Police. The male was quickly taken into custody. The male was transported to Ira Davenport Medical Center due to being on the dangerous drugs and was issued an appearance ticket for disorderly conduct, a violation in NYS penal law.
The male, identified as Shaun Haynes, 25, of Bath was just released from prison on 7/18/24 and is currently on NYS Parole until 2029.
