On 05-04-2024 at approximately 9:14 PM, the Village of Bath Police Department responded to a disturbance at a residence on Geneva Street.
Following an investigation, Daniel L. Ladieu Sr., age 38, of Bath, was arrested on the following charges:
Harassment in the 2nd Degree, violation, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, A Misdemeanor (3 counts), Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree, A Misdemeanor, Attempted Assault in the 3rd Degree, B Misdemeanor
Ladieu was transported to Steuben County Jail where he was released on his own recognizance at CAP Court on the morning of 05/05/2024, with a stay away order of protection in place, to protect the victim of the incident.
On 05-05-2024 at approximately 9:29 AM, shortly after Ladieu’s release from jail, officers received a report that Ladieu had violated the stay away order of protection by intimidating the victim and making threats of bodily harm to the victim and the victim’s family. Officers were unable to locate Ladieu at that time.
On 05-05-2024, at approximately 6:30 PM, officers received a report of a physical domestic incident that had occurred an hour prior, in which Ladieu was the suspect. Officers were unable to locate Ladieu at that time.
On 05-06-2024, Ladieu was located on a traffic stop and taken into custody on the pending charges from the 05-05-2024 reports. Ladieu was charged with Criminal Contempt in the 2nd Degree, A Misd., Endangering the Welfare of a Child, A Misd., Unlawful Imprisonment 2nd, A Misd., Harassment 2nd, Violation. Ladieu was transported to Steuben County Jail for arraignment where he was released.
