On 1/18/2024 around 11:52am, Officers with the Bath Police Department were dispatched to the Super 8 motel for a 49 year old female found deceased in her room. Officers conducted the investigation and found the death to be ruled suspicious.
After interviewing multiple witnesses and after a thorough investigation, on 1/19/24 the Bath Police Department reports the arrest of Richard I. Seager, 49, of Bundy Ave. in the Village of Bath. Richard Seager is charged with Criminally Negligent Homicide, a class E Felony. Richard was processed and then transported to the Steuben County Jail where he was arraigned and remanded to the Steuben County Jail with bail.
