On Sunday, August 18, 2024, ISAIAH L. CONKLIN-GRIFFIN, age 22, of the Village of Bath, was taken into custody and charged with Unlawful Fleeing of a Police Officer in the Third Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.
CONKLIN-GRIFFIN was operating a 2012 Yamaha upon Cameron Street in the Village of Bath. Officers attempted a traffic stop on CONKLIN-GRIFFIN for a violation of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law but CONKLIN-GRIFFIN failed to comply.
A vehicle pursuit ensued toward the Town of Cameron. Officers terminated the pursuit due to suspects reckless driving. Several minutes later Suspect entered back into the Village of Bath and Officers again attempted to stop the motorcycle.
Officers terminated the pursuit on East Washington Street at May Street. Minutes after terminating, Steuben County 911 had received calls reporting the motorcycle to be at a residence on East Washington Street Extension. CONKLIN-GRIFFIN was located and taken into custody without incident. The motorcycle was also recovered and impounded. In addition to the New York State Penal Law violation, CONKLIN-GRIFFIN was issued eighteen (18) traffic tickets for various violations within the Village of Bath.
